Monetary and Financial Statistics (ΜFS) is a monthly publication which provides selected statistical data produced by the Money and Banking Statistics and Financial Accounts Section of the Statistics Department of the CBC. Tables 1 – 6.3 include monthly data for non Monetary Financial Institutions (non-MFIs) deposits and loans, separately for domestic residents, other euro area residents and residents of rest of the world. Each table shows outstanding balances, transactions and annual growth rates. These growth rates are calculated according to the European Central Bank methodology which takes into account monthly transactions instead of the monthly outstanding balances (for details please refer to section 4, “Technical Notes” of the MFS). Tables 7-10 refer to statistics on interest rates applied by MFIs to deposits and loans denominated in euro vis-à-vis households and non-financial corporations resident in the euro area member states. Tables 11 and 12 refer to data regarding the issue of treasury bills and government registered development stocks.
