Any coin that has been mutilated, damaged or reduced in weight, may be exchanged by the Central Bank of Cyprus, provided that the mutilation, damage or reduction in weight occurred under normal conditions of usage which are described in the “Regulation (EU) No 1210/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 December 2010 concerning authentication of euro coins and handling of euro coins unfit for circulation”.
