What should I do if I suspect that I am in possession of a counterfeit euro banknote or coin?

You must hand it in to any commercial bank or at the counters of the Central Bank of Cyprus, for authenticity verification. It is a criminal offence to put into circulation a banknote or a coin which you believe or suspect that is counterfeit.
