BNP Paribas (Cyprus) Ltd (“BNP”), a bank incorporated in Cyprus, has decided to close down its operations in Cyprus for strategic reasons. Therefore, it has voluntarily surrendered its banking business licence to the Central Bank of Cyprus, with effect from 31 December 2011, in accordance with the provisions of the Cyprus Banking Law.
