With respect to reports mentioning that Alvarez & Marsal did not investigate Laiki Bank in depth, the Central Bank of Cyprus wishes to clarify, as is clearly stated in Alvarez & Marsal’s report, that the investigation will continue and cover: the purchase of Greek government bonds by Laiki Bank; the expansion of Laiki Bank outside Cyprus; the role and responsibilities of all parties involved.
