Procedure for the submission of requests for the purchase of commemorative and collector coins issued on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the accession of Cyprus to the European Union

Following the announcement of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), dated 6 December 2024, that it is in the process of developing a new procedure for accepting applications for the purchase of commemorative and collector coins issued on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Cyprus' accession to the European Union, the CBC announces that the submission of applications by the public will be made by completing an electronic Form. The Central Bank of Cyprus reminds the public about the following important considerations:

• Applications for the purchase of the above coins will be processed on a “first come first served” basis and while stocks available for sale last.
• The submission of an application will not necessarily guarantee a purchase.
• Multiple applications by the same person will not be considered and will be rejected.  
• Successful applicants will be contacted about payment instructions by 20 December 2024 the latest.
