The Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Cyprus released today the external statistics (balance of payments, international investment position and external debt) for the third quarter 2015.
Αccording to the latest provisional balance of payments data for the third quarter of 2015, the current account recorded a surplus of €72,5 million compared with a deficit of €142 million for the respective period of 2014.
The international investment position of Cyprus recorded an improvement in September 2015 reaching a net liability position of €23.048,2 million compared with €24.189 million in June 2015 (Cyprus’ liabilities exceed the respective assets). The external debt of Cyprus amounted to €97.652,1 million in September 2015 compared with €97.945,5 million in June 2015.
