The CBC announces that as the Resolution Authority and according to the Sale of Certain Operations of Bank of Cyprus Public Company Limited Sucursala Romania Decree of 2013, issued today, the Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd, in relation to its Romanian operations, has transferred the majority of deposits of retail clients and certain corporate deposits, cash and other liquid assets as well as loans to Marfin Bank (Romania) SA.
The Romanian Branch of the Bank of Cyprus will resume its operations tomorrow, 26 April 2013, carrying out normal banking operations and servicing the customers whose contracts have not been transferred to Marfin Bank (Romania) SA.
