The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of March 2016, which are included in the April 2016 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in March 2016 recorded a net decrease of €95,5 million, compared with a net increase of €78,4 million in February 2016. The annual growth rate stood at 2,0%, compared with 1,9% in February 2016. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €45,7 billion in March 2016.
Total loans in March 2016 exhibited a net decrease of €617,6 million, compared with a net decrease of €90,3 million in February 2016. The annual growth rate stood at -7,5%, compared with -7,8% in February 2016. The outstanding amount of loans reached €57,5 billion in March 2016.
