The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs loans and deposits statistics for the reference month of September 2014, which are included in the October 2014 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in September 2014 exhibited a net decrease of €850,6 million, as compared with a net decrease of €328,1 million in August 2014. The annual growth rate stood at -4,5% as compared with -4,3% in August 2014. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €46,0 billion in September 2014.
Total loans in September 2014 exhibited a net decrease of €157,1 million, as compared with a net increase of €99,4 million in August 2014. The annual growth rate stood at -2,8% as compared with -3,6% in August 2014. The outstanding amount of loans reached €59,8 billion in September 2014.
