The Central Bank of Cyprus today releases the MFIs loans and deposits statistics for the reference month of September 2015, which are included in the October 2015 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in September 2015 exhibited a net increase of €255,6 million, compared with a net increase of €440,0 million in August 2015. The annual growth rate stood at -0,7%, compared with -3,1% in August 2015. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €46,6 billion in September 2015.
Total loans in September 2015 exhibited a net decrease of €163,3 million, compared with a net decrease of €89,5 million in August 2015. The annual growth rate stood at -2,5%, remaining unchanged as compared with August 2015. The outstanding amount of loans reached €61,2 billion in September 2015.
