The Central Bank of Cyprus releases today the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of March 2014, which are included in the April 2014 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in March 2014 declined by €247,2 million (in terms of monthly transactions), as compared with a decline of €273,3 in February 2014. The outstanding amount of deposits (before reclassifications, exchange rate and other adjustments) decreased by €224,4 million in March 2014 and reached €46,2 million.
Total loans in March 2014 decreased by €356,4 million (in terms of monthly transactions), as compared with a decrease of €260,4 million in February 2014. The outstanding amount of loans (before reclassifications, exchange rate and other adjustments) decreased by €918,0 million in March 2014 and reached €62,0 million.
