The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of February 2016, which are included in the March 2016 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in February 2016 recorded a net increase of €78,4 million, compared with a net increase of €234,5 million in January 2016. The annual growth rate stood at 1,9%, compared with 1,3% in January 2016. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €46,2 billion in February 2016.
Total loans in February 2016 exhibited a net decrease of €90,3 million, compared with a net decrease of €3.016,3 million in January 2016. The annual growth rate stood at -7,8%, compared with -7,9% in January 2016. The outstanding amount of loans reached €59,2 billion in February 2016.
