The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of November 2016, which are included in the December 2016 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in November 2016 recorded a net increase of €358,0 million, compared with a net increase of €446,5 million in October 2016. The annual growth rate stood at 6,8%, compared with 5,9% in October 2016. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €49,0 billion in November 2016.
Total loans in November 2016 exhibited a net decrease of €29,1 million, compared with a net decrease of €138,2 million in October 2016. The annual growth rate stood at -10,4%, compared with -11,0% in October 2016. The outstanding amount of loans reached €53,9 billion in November 2016.
