The Central Bank of Cyprus released today the MFIs loans and deposits statistics for the reference month of November 2015, which are included in the December 2015 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in November 2015 recorded a net decrease of €67,9 million, compared with a net increase of €287,9 million in October 2015. The annual growth rate stood at 0,1%, compared with 0,4% in October 2015. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €47,4 billion in November 2015.
Total loans in November 2015 exhibited a net decrease of €493,2 million, compared with a net decrease of €106,2 million in October 2015. Nevertheless, the outstanding amount of loans increased by €2,1 billion in November 2015 and reached €63,2 billion, due to reclassification adjustments, revaluation adjustments, exchange rate adjustments or other adjustments. The annual growth rate of total loans in November 2015 stood at -3,2%, compared with -2,4% in October 2015.
