The Central Bank of Cyprus informs the public that a forged letter has been identified, bearing the Bank’s insignia and logos and requesting the payment of money from a citizen.
This letter does not originate from the Central Bank of Cyprus, and the matter has been reported to the competent authorities for investigation.
The Central Bank reminds the public that it never requests immediate payment of money from individual citizens. The public is urged to exercise particular caution and, should they receive a similar document, to contact the police and notify the Central Bank of Cyprus.
