The Central Bank of Cyprus announces that during the auction on 5 January 2005 for the acceptance of deposits, of 15-day duration, bids amounting to £210,0 million, were submitted and an amount of £180,0 million was absorbed at a weighted average allotment rate of 4,29%. The minimum and maximum allotment rates were 4,15% and 4,45%, respectively.
