The Central Bank of Cyprus announces that during the auction on 16 January 2003 for the acceptance of deposits of 14-day duration, bids amounting to £156,5 million were submitted and an amount of £120,0 million was absorbed at an average interest rate of 3,53%. The lowest and highest interest rates of the accepted bids were 3,49% and 3,59%, respectively.
