The Central Bank of Cyprus announces that during the auction conducted on 17 August 2006 for the acceptance of deposits of 14-day duration, bids amounting to £687,0 million were submitted, and an amount of £480,0 million was absorbed at a weighted average allotment rate of 3,03%. The minimum and maximum allotment rates were 2,95% and 3,05%, respectively.
