The Central Bank of Cyprus announces that during the auction conducted on 20 July 2006 for the acceptance of deposits of 14-day duration, bids amounting to £553,0 million were submitted, and an amount of £430,0 million was absorbed at a weighted average allotment rate of 3,13%. The minimum and maximum allotment rates were 2,78% and 3,17%, respectively.
