The Central Bank of Cyprus announces that during the auction conducted on 31 August 2006 for the acceptance of deposits of 14-day duration, bids amounting to £687,5 million were submitted, and an amount of £500,0 million was absorbed at a weighted average allotment rate of 3,00%. The minimum and maximum allotment rates were 2,96% and 3,02%, respectively.
