The Central Bank of Cyprus announces that during the auction conducted on 5 January 2006 for the acceptance of deposits of 14-day duration, bids amounting to £533,5 million were submitted, and an amount of £300,0 million was absorbed at a weighted average allotment rate of 2,46%. The minimum and maximum allotment rates were 2,44% and 2,49%, respectively.
