The Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), Mr. Constantinos Herodotou, attended an event held on 15 May 2023 in Nicosia to discuss climate change issues.
In particular, Mr. Herodotou stressed the need for prompt actions in order to address the consequences of climate change. In this respect, he presented the relevant challenges faced by the banks, the reforms in the regulatory framework and the supervisory actions that the European Central Bank and the Central Bank of Cyprus have taken to date.
