The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of March 2019, which are included in the April 2019 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in March 2019 recorded a net decrease of €327,7 million, compared with a net increase of €131,0 million in February 2019. The annual growth rate reached 5,1%, compared with 4,5% in February 2019. The outstanding amount of total deposits reached €47,5 billion in March 2019.
Total loans in March 2019 exhibited a net increase of €63,2 million, compared with a net increase of €19,0 million in February 2018. The annual growth rate stood at -2,0%, compared with -2,4% in February 2018. The outstanding amount of loans reached €38,3 billion in March 2019.
