The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of July 2022, which are included in the August 2022 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in July 2022 recorded a net decrease1 of €183,9 million, compared with a net increase of €352,5 million in June 2022. The annual growth rate stood at 1,3%, compared with 1,7% in June 2022. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €51,2 billion in July 2022.
Total loans in July 2022 recorded a net decrease of €162,7 million, compared with a net increase of €109,9 million in June 2022. The annual growth rate stood at 1,9%, compared with 2,9% in June 2022. The outstanding amount of total loans reached €28,6 billion in July 2022.
