The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of September 2017, which are included in the October 2017 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in September 2017 recorded a net decrease of €164,9 million, compared with a net increase of €427,0 million in August 2017. The annual growth rate stood at 3,6%, compared with 3,7% in August 2017. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €49,0 billion in September 2017.
Total loans in September 2017 exhibited a net decrease of €134,6 million, compared with a net decrease of €107,0 million in August 2017. The annual growth rate stood at -1,8%, compared with -2,1% in August 2017. Τhe outstanding amount of loans reached €52,6 billion in September 2017.
