The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of February 2018, which are included in the March 2018 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in February 2018 recorded a net decrease of €29,2 million, compared with a net decrease of €557,9 million in January 2018. The annual growth rate stood at 1,2%, compared with 1,7% in January 2018. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €48,7 billion in February 2018.
Total loans in February 2018 exhibited a net increase of €41,2 million, compared with a net increase of €53,0 million in January 2018. The annual growth rate stood at -1,7%, compared with -1,5% in January 2018. The outstanding amount of total loans reached €51,1 billion in February 2018.
