The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of February 2023, which are included in the March 2023 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in February 2023 recorded a net increase1 of €357,1 million, compared with a net decrease of €583,8 million in January 2023. The annual growth rate stood at 0,3%, compared with -0,1% in January 2023. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €51,9 billion in February 2023.
Total loans in February 2023 recorded a net increase of €81,2 million, compared with a net decrease of €93,2 million in January 2023. The annual growth rate stood at -0,7%, compared with -0,9% in January 2023. The outstanding amount of total loans reached €25,1 billion in February 2023.
