The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of September 2021, which are included in the October 2021 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in September 2021 recorded a net increase1 of €8,0 million, compared with a net increase of €495,6 million in August 2021. The annual growth rate stood at 4,4%, compared with 4,5% in August 2021. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €50,3 billion in September 2021.
Total loans in September 2021 recorded a net increase of €27,1 million, compared with a net decrease of €117,9 million in August 2021. The annual growth rate stood at 1,5%, compared with 1,3% in August 2021. The outstanding amount of total loans reached €29,6 billion in September 2021.
