The Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the external data statistics (balance of payments, international investment position and external debt) for the third quarter of 2018 (2018Q3).
According to the latest provisional balance of payments data for 2018Q3, the current account recorded a surplus of €52,0 million, compared with a surplus of €261,5 million in 2017Q3. The international investment position of Cyprus in 2018Q3 recorded a small improvement, reaching a net liability position of €22.382,5 million, compared with €22.582,7 million the previous quarter. The external debt of Cyprus amounted to €103.957,2 million in 2018Q3, compared with €101.246,8 million in 2018Q2.
