The Central Bank of Cyprus announces the introduction of a new section on its website entitled “Statistics Explained”, as part of its initiatives to promote statistical literacy.
The section presents key statistical terms related to financial statistics, monetary statistics and external economic relations, in clear and accessible language, with the aim of facilitating the public’s understanding of statistical data.
The terminology is based on material developed by the European Central Bank and available on the ECB Data Portal – “Statistics Explained”. The Central Bank of Cyprus has translated and adapted this material into Greek.
Through this initiative, the Central Bank of Cyprus enhances the accessibility and understanding of statistical information, contributing to better public awareness.
