The Central Bank of Cyprus announces the opening of the “euro coins genesis” exhibition.

The “euro coins genesis” exhibition has been prepared by the European Commission in Brussels. It has been on tour in various capitals and other cities of the European Union member states and it is currently being hosted in Nicosia, at the Central Bank of Cyprus, where it will remain open until 19 January, 2007.
The “euro coins genesis” refers to the creation of the euro coins. It exhibits the coins of the various states that have adopted the euro and which in addition to the euro area members, include the Vatican City, Monaco and San Marino. Furthermore, it shows how the designs on the national and on the common European sides of the euro coins were selected.
