O-SII capital buffer for Other Systemically Important Institutions - Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs)


Τhe Central Bank of Cyprus, in accordance with its policy for the designation of Cyprus Investment Firms that meet the definition of Other Systemically Important Institutions (O-SIIs) and the methodology for the determination of the O-SII buffer requirement of each Cyprus Investment Firm, and following consultation with the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, concluded on 24 July 2020 its annual reassessment of the designation of Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs) that meet the definition of O-SII institutions. In accordance with the CBC's reassessment, five CIFs have been designated as O-SII institutions which are listed in the table below along with the corresponding O-SII capital buffer rate each must meet from 1 November 2020.
