The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the MFIs deposits and loans statistics for the reference month of January 2017, which are included in the February 2017 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics.
Total deposits in January 2017 recorded a net increase of €148,8 million, compared with a net decrease of €74,9 million in December 2016. The annual growth rate stood at 6,0%, compared with 6,2% in December 2016. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €49,0 billion in January 2017.
Total loans in January 2017 exhibited a net decrease of €86,4 million, compared with a net decrease of €98,0 million in December 2016. The annual growth rate stood at -6,6%, compared with -11,0% in December 2016. Τhe outstanding amount of loans reached €54,9 billion in January 2017.
