The Central Bank of Cyprus has today released the external data statistics (balance of payments, international investment position and external debt) for 2016Q3.
According to the latest provisional balance of payments data, the current account improved in 2016Q3, as it recorded a surplus of €331,0 million compared with a surplus of €128,5 million in 2015Q3. The international investment position of Cyprus recorded a small improvement in 2016Q3, reaching a net liability position of €21.095 million compared with €21.489 million in 2016Q2. The external debt of Cyprus amounted to €100.100 million in 2016Q3 compared with €96.549 million in 2016Q2.
