Further to its Announcement dated 6 October 2025, the Central Bank of Cyprus (“CBC”) wishes to inform the public that the authorization of Zipp Europe Limited (Licence No. 115.1.3.38) was revoked on 29 September 2025. This revocation is duly reflected in the official Register of Electronic Money Institutions authorised by the CBC maintained by the CBC on its website.
It has, however, come to the attention of the CBC that certain active websites are falsely claiming that Zipp Europe Limited continues to operate as a regulated Electronic Money Institution under the supervision of the CBC, under license number 115.1.3.38.
The CBC strongly advises the public to exercise caution and to refrain from engaging in any transactions based on such misleading or inaccurate information.
Finally, the CBC urges the public, including users of payment services and holders of electronic money accounts, to visit its official online registries to verify which payment institutions and electronic money institutions are legally authorized to operate in the Republic of Cyprus.
