The CBC, following a consultation with the European Central Bank, in accordance with the provisions of the Macroprudential Oversight of Institutions Laws of 2015 to 2022, has decided on 2 June 2023 to increase further the countercyclical buffer rate from 0,5% to 1,0%.
In accordance with the above decision as well as with prior decisions on the same matter, the countercyclical buffer rate that will be effective as from 30 November 2023 is increased from 0% to 0,5% and as from 2 June 2024 is increased further to 1,0%.
