The Central Bank of Cyprus has released today the Investment Funds statistics for the reference month of March 2021.
The total assets of the investment funds increased significantly by approximately 18,9% to €6.678,4 million in March 2021, compared with €5.616,8 million in December 2020. The main reason for this increase is the inclusion in the data of a number of new relatively larger investment funds, compared to the number of smaller investment funds that were either liquidated or reclassified to another institutional sector. Overall, the number of investment funds in March 2021 stood at 222, unchanged from December 2020.
