The Central Bank of Cyprus (‘‘CBC’’) informs the public, businesses and, more specifically, depositors that an entity under the name ‘‘Neo Business Bank’’, to which reference is made on the following website:
is not licensed by the CBC to operate as a credit institution in accordance with section 4 of the Business of Credit Institutions Laws of 1997 to 2023, or as an electronic money institution in accordance with section 5(2) of the Electronic Money Laws of 2012 and 2018.
The CBC urges the public, businesses and depositors, before conducting business with credit institutions, to consult its website and specifically the Register of Credit Institutions operating in Cyprus in order to ascertain the credit institutions which are legally operating in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the Registers of Electronic Money Institutions authorised by the CBC and of Electronic Money Institutions from member states which notified their intention to provide services in the Republic of Cyprus.
