The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) announces that it will be again accepting requests for the reduced payment of legal costs from persons who have filed lawsuits against the CBC in connection with resolution and bonds of the Bank of Cyprus and/or Laiki Bank. Requests can be submitted in regards to:
i. Lawsuits pending against the CBC and about to be withdrawn,
ii. Actions that have been already withdrawn against the CBC, and have outstanding legal costs ruled to be paid in favour of the CBC, and
iii. Lawsuits that have ruled and a decision has been issued in favour of the CBC and the payment of the legal costs awarded to the CBC is pending.
The submission of requests to the CBC will take place through a Form, which is accessible through the CBC’s website (announcements of 3rd July 2023 and 10th July 2023). The request must be submitted until 31st of December, 2024 at 12:00p.m.
